Where you sail from
- Most private charters leave from the V&A Waterfront and usually run for two or three hours.
- Vessels range from small boats for about eight guests to large catamarans for over a hundred.
- Skipper, crew and fuel are usually included. Catering, drinks and decorations are arranged as extras, ideally confirmed about five days ahead.
- If wind or swell makes sailing unsafe, the operator moves or cancels the charter, with another date or a refund on their terms.
- Cancelling yourself within 48 hours of departure can be charged in full.
- In summer, ask one to two weeks ahead.
